What is MeshWORKS
MeshWORKS is the Search for Human Cohesion in a World of Fragmentation, which enables the essential process of integrating, aligning, and synergizing resources, especially at the community and local levels, to meet the needs of people at different stages of development. This thinking "meshes" the role of home, school, law enforcement, the business sector, religious institutions, and NGOs to get them working together on common problems. MeshWORKS was first designed for the fragile South African society but has since been enhanced and modified to address critical developmental issues in any culture.
The Meshworks Foundation: a New approach to Philanthropy

“ We describe the different types of foundations with a specific focus on the newly emerging form called ‘MeshWORK.’ ”
Different foundations exist for different reasons, and serve multiple purposes for the people who create them, the folks who manage them, and the populations and causes they were designed to serve. Historically, foundations can be grouped into six overlapping categories. Each category has a different core motivation and priority for existence, with different reasons that “matter most.”
